Laws of Maryland of 1918.

MARYLAND, Sct.:

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis, on the Second day of
January, 1918, and ending on the First day of April,
1918, the Honorable Emerson C. Harrington being
Governor of the State, the following Laws were
enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 620 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its Session of 1914, of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Wicomico County, " sub-title "Salisbury, " by adding
a new Section thereto to be known as Section 159, and to
follow immediately after Section 158-R of said Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 620 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at its Session of 1914, of Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicom-
ico County, " sub-title "Salisbury, " be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new section thereto to be known as Sec-
tion 159 and to follow immediately after Section 158-R of
said Act, as follows, that is to say:

159. And be it enacted, That in addition to the powers
granted in the preceding section to condemn property for the
purpose of making any public improvement, the Mayor and
Council of Salisbury shall have power to condemn any build-
ings or improvements whatsoever in their entirety when any
portion of the. same shall extend over, or lie upon, the realty
sought to be condemned according to the lines of the same

as outlined in the Ordinance provided for in sub-section two
(2) of the preceding section, upon allowing damages for the
whole of such buildings or improvements to the owner or
owners thereof, provided that in all other respects such con-
demnation shall be had in conformity with the provisions of
the preceding section.
