LAWS OF MARYLAND.

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and held at the City of Annapolis, on the
4th day of January, 1865, His Excellency, AUGUSTUS W. BRADFORD, being Governor, the following
Laws were enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1.
AN ACT to locate the office of the State Superin- tendent of Public Instruction in the city of Bal- timore, and to furnish the same.	Passed Jan. 13, 1865.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the office of the State Superin- tendent of Public Instruction, shall be located in the city of Baltimore, and that the Superintend- ent is authorized to tent suitable rooms at an an- nual cost not exceeding four hundred dollars, and that the Treasurer on the warrant of the Comp- troller, is authorized to pay the same in quarterly instalments.	Office located.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of fif- teen hundred dollars, of so much thereof as is ne- cessary, be and hereby is appropriated to furnish the the office of the State Superintendent, and that the Treasurer, on the warrant of the Comptroller, is authorized to pay the said sum to the Superin- tendent.	Money appro- priated.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the State Libra- rian shall furnish for the office of the 8tate Super- intendent of Public Instruction, copies of the Code and Laws of subsequent elates, the Constitutions of Maryland and Journals and Debatee of the Constitutional Conventions of 1850 and 1864.
