Aforesaid And hereupon ye said Joshua prays further Leave thereof to Imparll here untill next
Court to be held at Princes Ann Town ye third Tuesday of Novr. then next following & he hath it
& ye same day is given to ye afd. Sarah here also &c
Att Which day here came as well ye afd. Sarah as ye afd. Joshua by their Attys afd. And
hereupon ye said Joshua prays further Leave thereof to Imparll here untill next Court
to be held at Princes Ann Town ye third Tuesday of March then next following & he hath
it & ye same day is given to ye afd. Sarah here also &c
Att which day here Came as well ye afd. Sarah as ye afd. Joshua by their Attys afd. And
hereupon ye said Joshua as before Defends ye force & injury when &c. And Saith that he
Cannot deny ye Actions afd. of ye afd. Sarah nor but that he is guilty of ye Premisses in
ye Declarations mentioned in manner and form as ye afd. Sarah above against him

hath Complained and as to ye Damage of ye same Sarah ^ him by Occasion of ye
Primisses in that sustained ye same Joshua saith & acknowledgeth that ye afd.
Sarah hath sustained Damages by Occasion of ye premisses beyond his Costs and
Charges him by him about her suit in that part apposed to One penny Curt money
& not more & because ye afd. Sarah Denys not this Accot ye same Allegation grants to
to be true prays Judgment for those Damages above Acknowledged together with
his Costs and Charges afd to him to be adjudged &c
                                                              Therefore by Consent of ye parties
afd. it is Considered that ye afd. Sarah Records recover against ye afd. Joshua Hoffington
his Damages afd. to ye afd. one penny Curt. money by ye same Joshua in form afd.
770 3/4       Acknowledged as also            Pounds of Tobacco for his Costs & Charges afd. to ye
Same Sarah at her request by ye Court no where of ye Assent of ye parties afd.
adjudged which Certain Damages in ye whole amount to one penny Curt money
And            pounds of Tobacco & ye afd. Joshua in Mercy &c

Ordered that Samuel Owens recover against William Brereton Seventy two pounds of Tobacco
being due unto him for his Attendance three days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said William
agt. John White he having made oath to ye same &c

Ordered that Charles Hayman recover agt William Brereton forty Eight pounds of Tobacco
being due unto him for his attendance two days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said
William agt John White he having made Oath to ye Same &c

Ordered that Joshau Edmonson D. C. recover agt Joshua Hoffington forty Eight Pounds of
Tobacco being due unto him for his Attendance two days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said
Joshua agt Sarah Records he having made oath to ye same &c & it is further ordered that ye
said Joshua Edmonson recover agt Joshua Hoffington forty Eight pounds of Tobacco for his Itinerint
Charges &c

Ordered that Geo: Farrington recover agt Joshua Hoffington twenty four Pounds of Tobacco being due
unto him for his Attendance one day as an Evidence on behalf of ye said Joshua agt Sarah Records he
having made Oath to ye same &c

Ordered that Richd. Venables & Levin More recover agt Joshua Hoffington forty Eight pounds of Tobacco Each
for their attendance two days as Evidences on behalf of ye said Joshua agt Sarah Records they haveing
made oath to ye same &c

Ordered that Elionar Records recover agt ^ Joshua Hoffington forty Eight Eight pounds of Tobacco for

her Attendance two days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said ^ Joshua ^ agt ^ Sarah Records she having

made oath of ye same &c it is further ordered that Elionar Records recover agt Joshua Hoffington
forty Eight pounds of Tobacco for her Itinerint Charges &c

Ordered that Elionar Phillips recover agt Sarah Records forty Eight pounds of Tobacco being due
unto her for her Attendance two days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said Sarah Records agt Joshua
Hoffington she having made oath to ye same &c

Ordered that Ann Records recover agt Sarah Records one hundred & twenty pounds of Tobacco being due unto her f[or]
attendance 5 days as an Evidence on behalf of ye said Sarah agt Joshua Hoffington she having made oath to ye same
