 Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Hon.ble the Lord
prop.ry that now is for the Body of Kent County afd upon
their oath Do present that Garret Closey of S.t pauls
parish in Kent County afd Labourer the thirtyeth Day of Octob.r Anno
Dom. Seventeen hundred and and twenty with force and arms at the
parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court one Aug.t
of the Value of two Shillings Current money of Maryland of the Goods &
Chattels of a Certain Fred.k Hanson then and there being found then and
there feloniously Did Steal take & beare away Contrary to y.e peace of the
s.d Lord prop.ry that now is his good Rule & Government & against the form
of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made & provided &c.a

    On the Back of the preceeding Indictm.t was Endorst as foll.s viz.t

                        A True Bill by Thomas Piner foreman

    And the afd Garret in his proper person Cometh & Saith that he is in no Sort
Guilty of the felony within mentioned upon him Imposed as by the
Indictment is Supposed & of this he Doth put himself upon the Country
    And Michael Howard who followeth for y.e Lord prop.ry Likewise Garret Closey in p.r prson

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Kent County that he Imediately
Cause to Come here twelve &c.a by whome &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize &c.a
because as well &c.a of which s.d precept the s.d Sherr to wit Fred.k Hanson Gent now
here at this Day to wit the twentyeth Day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and twenty four makes Return that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by
his precept he was Commanded and now here afterwards to wit the Day & year
last mentioned Came again as well the s.d Lord prop.ry by Michael Howard his
Clerk of Indictments as allso the s.d Garret Closey who Stands at the Barr And
the Jurors of that Jury being Impanelled and Called likewise Came to wit
Josias Lanham, Abra.m Ambrose Rob.t Dunn jun.r John Huff, James Thomas
