here in the premisses for the said Lord prop.ry and Due Process of
Law against the afd Jean in this part to Issue to Answer to the
afd Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.

    And now here at this Court to wit the third tuesday of August it being
the twentieth day of said month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and
twenty eight Came as well the afd the Right Honourable the Lord
prop.ry that now is by his Attorney ^afd^ is the ^afd^ Jane Kennard in her
proper person comes and saith that she cannot gainsay the
Information afd so as afd against her brought not but that she is
guilty of the premisses above upon her Imposed as by the afd Information
it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit this 20.th
day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred & twenty eight
And that the afd Jane Kennard be fined the sum of two hundred
& fifty pounds of tob.o for the use of his said Lordship the
Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry of this province afd
as a fine for Committing the offence afd so as afd Confest as
also it is Considered that the said Jane Kennard pay the sum of
three hundred ninty six pounds of tob.o Costs accrueing on the
premisses afd to the officers of this Court And Ordered by the
Court that She give Security for her fine & fees afd Upon
which Nathaniell Kennard Husband of the afd Jane Comes
into Court & Assumes to pay the afd fine for account of the
afd Jane in Discharge of the Judgment afd as also to pay
the fees to the officers to whom they become Due

Court Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Lord prop.ry
of this province of Maryland in the sum of ten pounds
Sterl money of Great Brittain to be made and Leveyed
&c.a Conditionally that if the afd Jane should not make
her personall appearance before the Justices of the
then next August Court & in the mean time to be of
good behavour wherewith the afd Nath.ll Kennard Acknowledged
himself Content
