1466 CERTIFICATE OF SECRETARY OF STATE.

STATE OF MARYLAND
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, DAVID C. WlNEBRENNER, 3D, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE

STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Chap. 441 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Md. of 1922,
Do HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General election held in this
State on Tuesday, November 6, 1928, an Act, known as Chap-
ter 48 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1927, was
submitted to the voters of Anne Arundel County for their
adoption or rejection, under the provisions of Article 16 of
the Constitution of the State, said Act being:

An Act to repeal and re-enact Section 186 of Article 2
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Orphans' Court"; said section as
recodified by order of the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County, and now appearing in Melvin's
Local Code as Section 308.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 308 of Article 2 of the Public Local
Laws, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Orphans'
Court, " be and the same is hereby repealled and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:

Section 308. The said Court shall sit for the transaction of
business from ten o'clock A. M. to three o'clock P. M., and
each of the judges of said Court shall receive the sum of eight
($8. 00) dollars for each day's attendance upon the session of
said Court, and five cents per male each way they may be com-
pelled to travel to and from their place of meeting.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June first, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty-Seven
(1927).

AND I Do CERTIFY, That at said election 1, 167, votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 48 of the Acts of
1927, and 7, 245 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, in Anne Arundel County; and a majority being against
the adoption thereof, it was thereby rejected and repealed by
the voters.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my Offi-
cial Seal, at the City of Annapolis, this 26th
day of November, 1928.
