House Bill No. 2—By Mr. Luber:

Subject: "BALTIMORE CITY", sub-title "ORPHANS' COURT",
RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF BAILIFFS OF THE
ORPHANS' COURT OF BALTIMORE CITY.

Which was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

President, Bailey, Balch, Barton, Beck, Carter, Davis, Della, Ellison, Praley,
Goldstein, Hoff, Hofferbert, Johnson, Guy, Johnson, T. F., Kimble, McAllister,
McLaughlin, Monroe, O'Neill, Phoebus, Shallcross, Sothoron, Storm, Strom-
berg, Stromeyer, Thomas, Turnbull, White. Total—29

NEGATIVE—NONE.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Senator Sothoron moved that the rules be suspended in order to
report the following bill, and two-thirds of the Senators-elect,
voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays
as follows:

The rules being suspended, Senator Sothoron, for the Committee
on Finance, reported favorably:

Subject: "MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION TO
THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO BE USED BY SAID
BOARD IN SUPPLEMENTING APPROPRIATIONS MADE IN
THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,
1950, TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE
FOR AN EMERGENCY PROGRAM OF GENERAL PUBLIC
ASSISTANCE."

Favorable report adopted.

The bill was read the second time and ordered passed to its third
reading.
