LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1933

MARYLAND, Sct.:

At an Extraordinary Session of the General Assembly of
Maryland, begun and held in the City of Annapolis,
on the Twenty-third day of November, 1933, and
ending on the Eleventh day of December, 1933, the
Honorable Albert C. Ritchie, being Governor of the
State, the following laws were enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
140 and 141 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title "Bel
Air" as the same was enacted by Sections 4 and 5 of
Chapter 254 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, 1927.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 140 and 141 of Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County", sub-title "Bel Air" be, and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

"140. For the purpose of paying off the promissory
notes and certificates of indebtedness and retiring the
bonds issued under this Act, and of paying interest thereon
there shall be levied against all the assessable prop-
erty within the municipality annually, so long as any of
said notes, certificates and bonds are outstanding, a tax
sufficient in amount to meet the interest on said notes,
certificates and bonds as it becomes due, and to pay the
principal thereof as they mature, said tax to be
fixed, levied and collected in the same manner as
other municipal taxes now are or may be hereafter levied
and collected in said town. The taxes levied under this
Act shall have the same priority rights, bear the same in-
terest and penalties, and in every respect be treated the
same as other municipal taxes. In order that the prompt
payment of interest and the proper provision for the pay-
