1412                       JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

JOINT RESOLUTIONS

NO. 1.

A Resolution extending the term of Honorable Walter W.
Preston as Associate Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit
of Maryland.

WHEREAS, The Honorable Walter W. Preston, who is now
Associate Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Maryland,
will attain the age of seventy years on the fourteenth day of
January, in the year nineteen hundred and thirty-three; and

WHEREAS, The term for which he was elected does not ex-
pire until November, 1936; and

WHEREAS, There is a widespread desire on the part of the
people of said Judicial Circuit that his term shall be extended
to the end of the term for which he was elected; therefore
be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
term of the said Honorable Walter W. Preston, as Associate
Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Maryland, be, and the
same is hereby, extended for the full term for which he was
elected, which will end in November, 1936.

Approved February 19, 1931.

NO. 2.

A Joint Resolution to continue Honorable William H. Adkins
in the office of Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit
of the State of Maryland after lie has attained the age of
seventy years, and until the expiration of the full term for
which he was elected.

WHEREAS, The Honorable William H. Adkins was appointed
an Associate Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit of Mary-
