Monday in March, 1932, or until his successor is duly qualified;
and that the office of the present Assistant Burgess, E. G.
Hawken, be not subject to an election on the first Monday of
March, 1931, and that his term be extended and made to last
until the first Monday in March, 1932, or until his successor is
duly qualified.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and the same
having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all members elect of each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 818
of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Washington County, " sub-title "Wil-
liamsport, " for the purpose of correcting an error in the
description of the corporate limits of the Town of Williams-
port.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by tine General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 818 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County, "
sub-title "Williamsport, " be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

818. The bounds of said town as described on a Plat thereof
recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Washington County are hereby extended so as to include all
the territory within the following limits: Beginning at low
water mark on the right or North bank of the Conococheague
Creek, at its confluence with the Potomac River, and running
along said bank up stream to the stone bridge; then crossing
the said creek on a line with the lower or West side of said
bridge to the East marginal line of Conococheague Street; thence
along the East marginal line of said Conococheague Street,
North 190 feet; thence leaving said street and crossing the
Western Maryland Railroad, South 65 degrees East 235 feet to the
Eastern right of way line of said railroad; thence with said
right of way line, North 33 degrees East 552 feet; thence
leaving said right of way line, and running along the South
