CHAPTER 778.
(Senate Bill 465)

AN ACT to transfer the unexpended balance of the appro-
piration made by Section 13, Chapter 515 of the Acts
of 1937, for expenses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, if called in Special Session, to the Board of Public
Works for rent deficit for 1939, for payments to various
newspapers of the deficits incurred in 1938 in connection
with the publishing of Constitutional Amendments, for
expenses of Presidential Electors in the fiscal year 1941,
for expenses of the Commission on Morgan State Col-
lege; for the installation of amplifying equipment in the
General Assembly of Maryland; to the State Board of
Agriculture for the impending deficit in connection with
Japanese Beetle Control for the fiscal year 1939; to
Washington College, to enable it to realize benefits of
an endowment; and to the State Department of Drain-
age to provide for the drainage of certain agricultural
lands in Wicomico and Worcester Counties; and for the
payment of extraordinary expenses of the General As-
sembly of Maryland for the session of 1939.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That the sum of $66, 644. 61, being the unex-
pended balance of the appropriation made by Section 13,
Chapter 515 of the Acts of 1937, for the use of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1937, if called in special session,
be and it is hereby transferred to the following agencies
and institutions:

To The Board of Public Works—

(1) For rental deficit for the fiscal year 1939...... $ 2, 765. 00

(2) For various newspapers of the State for
deficits incurred in 1938 in connection
with publishing Constitutional Amend-
ments......................................................................................... 18, 000. 00

(3) For expenses of Presidential Electors for

fiscal year 1941........................................................................ 500. 00

(4) For expenses of the Commission on Morgan

State College.............................................................................. 500. 00

(5) For installation of amplifying equipment
in the State House for use of General
Assembly in 1939.................................................................. 384. 50

To The State Board of Agriculture—

(1) For deficit incurred in connection with
Japanese Beetle Control for the fiscal
year 1939.............................................................................. 17, 772. 29
