shall be authorized to expend such additional sum or sums
as may be necessary, not exceeding Two Hundred and Fifty
Dollars ($250. 00), per annum, to cover stenographic and
other expenses.

In Washington County, the Board of License Commis-
sioners, consisting of three persons, not more than two of
whom shall belong to the same political party, shall be
appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice of the
Senate, for a term of six years. Each member of the Board
shall be entitled to receive an annual salary of Fifteen
Hundred ($1, 500. 00) Dollars payable monthly from the
license fees derived from the issuance of license fees au-
thorized by this Article. No member or employee of the
Board shall have any pecuniary or other interest in any
phase of the manufacture, sale or distribution of any alco-
holic beverages.

in Cecil County the members of the Board of County
Commissioners shall each receive, in addition to their pres-
ent salaries, Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00, ) per annum
for their services in acting as members of the Board of
License Commissioners of said county.

In Dorchester County the members of the Board of
County Commissioners shall each receive, in addition to
their present salaries, One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) per
annum for their services in acting as members of the Board
of License Commissioners of said county.

In Carroll County each, of the members of the Board
of County Commissioners shall receive, in addition to
their present salaries, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200. 00) per annum for their services in acting as mem-
bers of the Board of License Commissioners.

61. (Boards of License Commissioners—Employees and
Compensation. ) In addition to the powers hereinbefore
provided, the said respective Boards shall be authorized to
employ a secretary and such inspectors, clerical and other
'assistance as may be necessary, and to fix the compensa-
tion of such employees, subject to the approval of the
Comptroller, except as otherwise provided by this Article.
In Baltimore City the Board shall appoint an Executive
Secretary to said Board who shall be a resident of
Baltimore City. In Baltimore City, no Commissioner,
or employee of the Board shall have any interest, direct
or indirect, either proprietary or by means of any loan,
mortgage or lien, or in any other manner, in or on any
premises where alcoholic beverages are manufactured or
sold; nor shall he have any interest, direct or indirect,
in any business wholly or partially devoted to the
manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages, or own any
