SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 3

(House Bill 100)

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 445 of the Acts of 1947 relating
to the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County,
and to legalize the 1948 edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore County, compiled and edited by
Michael Paul Smith, including re-arranging, re-numbering
and re-titling of certain sub-titles, and to authorize the
printing and publication of said Code by the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 445 of the Acts of 1947, be and the same
is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the 1948 Edition
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, com-
piled and edited by Michael Paul Smith, including re-arrang-
ing, re-numbering and re-titling of certain sub-titles, be and
the same is hereby legalized, and shall be deemed and taken
in all the Courts of the State, and by all Justices of the
Peace of the State, and by all other public officials of the
State, to be evidence of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County, in existence at the time of compilation.
