out and fully participate in the provisions of the "Temporary Unem-
ployment Compensation Act of 1958" (Public Law 441, 85th Con-
gress) under such conditions, rules and regulations as are specifically
contemplated by said "Temporary Unemployment Compensation Act
of 1958".

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this; Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all of the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 2
(Senate Bill 2)

AN ACT making an emergency appropriation for the payment of the
expenses of the General Assembly of Maryland for the Second
Extraordinary Session of 1958.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000), or so much
thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
as an emergency appropriation from any funds in the General Sur-
plus Fund Account of the Treasury of the State for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1958, for the payment of the officers and employees
of the General Assembly of Maryland of the Second Extraordinary
Session of 1958 and for the expenses of said Session, including mile-
age and expenses of the members, printing, binding and miscel-
laneous expenses.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the
State shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, disburse the said
sum of money herein appropriated for the objects and purposes
herein specified, to or upon the order of the person or persons entitled
to receive the same.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the mem-
bers elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of
Maryland, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
