No. 6.
Resolution in favor of Capt. James M. Schley.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the adjutant general of this State, be and he is hereby au-
thorised and required to furnish Captain James M. Schley
of the Mowhawk Invincibles of Frederick, fifty new rifles
on his giving bond for the safe-keeping and return of the
same; provided, they now be in the armory.

13, 1843.

No. 7.
Resolution for lighting Lamps on the State Mouse Hill.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the door-keeper of the House of Delegates cause to be put
up and regularly lighted at the proper hours during this
session, one lamp at each of the gates of the public circle,
and one in Church-street, at the foot of Chancery lane;
provided, the authorities of the city of Annapolis furnish
n im with the lamps.

No. 8.
Resolution in favor of Ephraim Smith of Baltimore city.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore be and is hereby au-
thorized and required to pay to Ephraim Smith, of Balti-
more city, or to his order during life, in quarter yearly
payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a pri-
vate, in consideration rendered daring the war of the revo-
lution.

Resolution directing the Governor to employ council, &c.
to attend to the argument of writs of errors to the Su-
preme Court of the United States, from the Court of Ap-
peals, under the act of eighteen hundred and forty-one,
chapter twenty-three.

preme Court of the United States have been filed in the
