COMMISSIONER OF LOANS.— The powers vested

in, and the Treasurer of Western Shore by

4th section of act of 1839, ch. 33, suspen-

ded till 20th of Feb. 1843,

Upon surrender to, of the certificates for

$10,000 of 5 per cent stock by act of 1829

ch. 165, managers of Washington Monu-

ment to pay over rateably to proprietors of

said stock, in redemption of an equal amount

as of 1st October 1842, the balance on

hand for decoration of Monument, and the

further sum of f 208 30 remaining in the

Western Shore Treasury for redemption of

said stock, managers to draw on Treasurer,

&c. and upon receipt of said certificates,

commissioner to cancel the same and issue

like certificates, &c.
