Resolution in favor of John B. Spencer.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore, pay to John B. Spen-
cer or order, the sum of twenty-five dollars and fifty cents,
for publication of the laws of eighteen hundred and forty-
two.

Resolution relative to publishing laws.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
such laws as may hereafter be ordered to be published in
the newspapers, shall be published in at least one German
newspaper in the city of Baltimore.

No. 13.

Resolution requesting our Senators and Representatives in
Congress, to use their exertions to procure the passage
of a law making an appropriation, for the removal of
certain sand bars at the mouth of the Susquehanna River.

Whereas the town of Havre-de-Grace, situated at the
head of the Chesapeake Bay, and at the out let of the Tide
Water Canal, seems destined by its position to become an
important place of deposite and transhipment, the bay
affording a communication with the Atlantic sea hoard, and
the canal, connected as it is with the whole chain of Penn-
sylvania works of internal improvement, and affording the
