CHAP. 5.

CHAPTER 4.

 

An act to allow further time to Francis Stephens, sheriff
of Calvert County, to execute his bond for the year eigh-
teen hundred and forty-four.

Passed Jan.
4, 1844.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Francis Stephens, sheriff of Calvert
county, be and he is hereby allowed, until the fourth day
of February next, to execute his bond to the State, as
sheriff of Calvert county, for the year eighteen hundred
and forty-four, and that the said bond, if executed and
approved, on or before that day, shall be as valid and
binding on said sheriff and his securities, as if executed
within the time limited by law.

Time allowed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all official acts done
and performed by said sheriff, after he shall have bonded as
aforesaid, shall be as valid and effectual in law, as if he had
executed his bond within the time prescribed by existing
laws.

Valid.

An act to repeal an act passed at December session eighteen
hundred and forty-two, chapter 292, entitled an act to
restrain the rigor of speedy proceedings for the recovery of
