RESULTS OF REFERENDUM VOTES

1953, Ch. 46—Seat Pleasant
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1951 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election on Refer-
endum held in the Town of Seat Pleasant, Prince George's
County, Maryland, on April 6, 1953, an Act known as
Chapter 46 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1953 was submitted to the voters of the Town of Seat
Pleasant, for their adoption or rejection, under the pro-
vision of Chapter 46 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-
tions 1237 and 1239 and sub-section 1241 (h), said
Section 1237 having been amended by Chapter 367 of
the Acts of 1951, and said sub-section 1241 (h)
having been amended by Chapter 91 of the Acts of
1947, and Chapter 367 of the Acts of 1951, and to add
a new section to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, 1943 Edition, being Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title Trince George's County', sub-title 'Seat Pleas-
ant', said new section to be known as Section 1246A
to follow immediately after Section 1246 of said
Article".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election the following votes
were cast;

Section 1237—101 votes were cast in favor of the
adoption of Section 1237 and 7 votes were cast against
the adoption.

Section 1239—97 votes were cast in favor of the
adoption of Section 1239 and 13 votes were cast
against the adoption.

Section 1241-H—74 votes were cast in favor of the
adoption of Section 1241-H and 31 votes were cast
against the adoption.
