her in the revolutionary war, or to his order annually in quarterly payments, dur-
ing life, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a remuneration for
those services by which his country has been so essentially benefitted.

No. 46.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
and required to pay to Larkin Shipley the sum of eighty five dollars and twelve
cents, for services rendered as quarter-master to the third regimental cavalry dis-
trict, in the year 1814.

No. 47.
WHEREAS, it appears to this General Assembly, that James Wilkinson, an
officer of the revolutionary war, and who served to its termination, did not re-
ceive the commutation money of five years pay, in lieu of half pay for life, promis-
ed, to the officers and soldiers, who continued in service to the end of the war ;
therefore,
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby author-
ised and directed to pay to the said James Wilkinson, yearly in quarterly pay-
ments, during life, the half pay of a colonel of dragoon, as remuneration for ser-
vices rendered his county in the revolutionary struggle for liberty.
No 48.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby direct-
ed to pay to Emmnuel Ebbs, a private in the revolutionary war, or to his or-
der annually in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a pri-
vate, as a further remuneration to him for those services by which his country
has been so essentially benefitted.

No. 49.

Resolved, That the governor and council be, and they are hereby authorised and
empowered to call in, in such manner and at such time or times as they in their
discretion may fix on, the arms, camp equipage, &c. distributed among the mili-
tia of this state, or to take such other order with regard to the same, as they in
their judgment shall think best calculated to advance the improvement of the
militia always securing a safe return of the said arms, camp equipage, &c. to the
state in as good order as practicable.
Resolved, That a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars out of any unappro-
priated money in the treasury, be, and the same is hereby placed at the disposal
of the governor and council to carry into effect the above resolution.
No. 50.
Resolved, That the resolution of June session 1812, for the equipment of the
quota of militia, the resolution of May session 1813, for the purchase of arms
and military stores, and the act of November session 1808, for the purchase of
arms and accoutrements, be, and the same are hereby rescinded and repealed, and
that the sum remaining in the treasury, subject to the orders of the executive
under the provisions of the above resolutions and act, be, and the same an
hereby applied to the payment of the current expellees of the state.

No. 51.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Caleb Stewart, door
keeper of the house of delegates, the sum of sixty dollars; and to Henry Thomp-
son, messenger of the senate, the sum of fifty dollars for taking care of the fur
niture of their respective houses during the recess of the Legislature.
No. 52.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
to pay to Rezin Simpson, or his order annually in quarterly payments, a sum of
money equal to the half pay of a sergeant of dragoons, in lieu of the sum allowed
him by a resolution of eighteen hundred and eleven.
No. 53.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby author-
ised and directed to pay the trustees of the West Nottingham Academy, in Cecil
county, or their order annually, the sum of two hundred dollars, for the benefit
of the said academy, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury.
No. 54.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to George Hebb, Esq.
or order, eight dollars in addition to his allowance on the journal of accounts.
No. 55.
WHEREAS, the journal of accounts was ordered to be closed on Saturday
last, including Monday the 29th inst and the business of the state has required
the attendance of the members longer than was expected; therefore,
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby require
to pay to each member of the Legislature attending in the discharge of his Legis-
lative duties on this day, two days allowance in addition to what was allowed
