CENSE COMMISSIONERS" BE AND IT IS HEREBY REPEALED
AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMENDMENTS; all to read as follows:

107. The County Commissioners of Cecil County as now con-
stituted and holding office or hereafter elected or appointed shall
receive an annual salary of [Eighteen] Thirty-five Hundred Dollars
in lieu of all other compensation and shall be allowed Five SEVEN
Cents for each mile actually traveled in attending the regular meet-
ings of said County Commissioners or special meetings attended by all
of said Commissioners, and shall be required to devote all of their
time to the duties of said office. The said Commissioners shall
publish, in at least one County newspaper having general circulation
in Cecil County, a statement each month showing the expenses of
said Commissioners for the preceding month.

387. (F) THE SAID COMMISSIONERS SHALL RECEIVE
THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300) PER YEAR
FOR EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE
DUTIES IMPOSED UNDER THIS SUB-TITLE UNTIL JANU-
ARY 1, 1959; AND ON AND AFTER SAID DATE THEY SHALL
RECEIVE NO SUM FOR SUCH EXPENSES.

38.

(g) Cecil County.—[The sheriff of Cecil County shall receive an
annual salary of $3,500 and $400 for expenses.] Commencing with
the beginning of the next term of office, the sheriff of Cecil County
shall receive an annual salary of [$4,000,] $4,500, and no allowance
for expenses except as hereinafter provided. The sheriff shall ap-
point a first deputy sheriff, [who shall receive an annual salary of
$3,100; and a second deputy sheriff, who shall receive an annual salary
of $3,100.] AND a second deputy sheriff and a third deputy sheriff,
each of whom shall receive an annual salary of $3,600.
The sheriff
and deputy sheriffs shall be entitled to an expense allowance for travel
at the rate of seven cents ($.07) per mile actually traveled, to be
paid monthly, provided, that at the beginning of each month the
sheriff and deputy sheriffs shall file with the county commissioners
of Cecil County an affidavit stating the speedometer readings on their
respective vehicles as of the first and last days of the preceding
month, and provided further, that fifteen per centum of the mileage
submitted for each month shall be deemed to have been for personal
use for which there shall be no compensation. The sheriff's office
shall also receive an appropriation of $1,500, to be used for special
investigations and employees, subject to the approval of the county
commissioners.

47.

(k-a) The County Treasurers] of [Cecil and] Dorchester
[Counties] County shall receive an annual salary of $4,000.00.

(r) The County Treasurer of Cecil County shall receive a salary
of $5,000.00.

40.

(g-a) The States Attorney of Cecil County shall receive an annual
salary of [$4,000.] $5,000.
