320 CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA

........ of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session 1931",

immediately after which was printed on separate lines, with a square
or box to the right and opposite the words "For Water, Sewer and
Street Bonds", and a corresponding square or box to the right and
opposite the words "Against Water, Sewer and Street Bonds", all
printed on said ballots, so as to give the voter a clear opportunity to
designate by a cross-mark (X) in the proper square or box, his or her
decision for or against said bonds; and it appearing that the Mayor
and Council of Snow Hill published in some newspaper or newspapers
of general circulation in said town for at least one week previous to
said election the substance of Chapter 141 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session 1931, in order to advise the citizens
of said town of the intent of said act, and it further appearing that
said Mayor and Council of Snow Hill had the aforesaid special ballots
printed for use at said election and that upon said special ballots the
aforesaid question appeared, in clear, plain bold type of the size and
style required by the General Election laws of the State of Maryland
for the printing of names of candidates on ballots and that all of the
requirements of said Chapter 141 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, Session 1931, and of all other laws of the State of Mary-
land, applicable to the conduct of said election and the proceedings
in reference thereto, before, and at the same, had been fully met and
observed we did canvass and add up the votes cast at said election
and do declare that we find that the whole number of votes cast at
said election upon the said question submitted as aforesaid was as
follows:

For Water, Sewer and Street Bonds—172—Votes.
Against Water, Sewer and Street Bonds—48—Votes.

And we do further certify that a majority of the votes cast upon
such question in said election was "for Water, Sewer and Street
Bonds. "

We do further certify that the above statement is true and correct
in all respects.

Given under our hand this 5th day of May, A. D. 1931.

State of Maryland, Worcester County, to-wit:

I HEREBY CERTIFY that on this 4th day of May, 1931, before the
subscriber, Clerk of the Circuit Court for Worcester County, Mary-
land, personally appeared Walter W. Price, Thomas T. Brimer and
Robert N. Stagg and each made oath in due form of law to act fairly
and impartially as Judges of Election for two Councilmen for the
town of Snow Hill in the County of Worcester in the State of Mary-
