out compelling him to produce the assent in writing,
of so many of his creditors as have due to them the
amount of two-thirds of the debts due by him at the
time of his application for the benefit of this act, and
without requiring proof of the said Peter A. Cams hav-
ing resided the two preceding years within the scale of
Maryland; and to extend and to afford to the
said Peter A. Cams, all ti«e benefits, advantages
and provisions of the aforesaid act and the supplements
thereto, in the same manner, and upon the same terms
and conditions, as if he had obtained the assent of two
thirds of his creditors to his release under the same,
and produced proof of his having resided the two pre-
ceding years within the stale of Maryland.

CHAPTER 5.

MAY SESSION,
1813.

A supplement to the act entitled, "An act to encourage
the education of youth in Worcester county. "
WHEREAS, the trustees of the Union Academy,
incorporated under the said act, were prevented from
meeting on the first Wednesday of April last:

Preamble.

Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the trustees, or a majority of
them, appointed by the said act, shall meet for the first
time, on or before the First Wednesday of August next,
and qualify themselves for the office of trustees in the
manner prescribed by the original act, and any trustee
who is prevented from attending the said meeting may
attend at any subsequent meeting and qualify in the
same manner.

Trustees shall
meet to quali-
fy—when.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the several pro-

visions in the said act shall be operative in the same

manner as they would have been in case the first meeting
of the trustees had been at the time originally directed,

CHAPTER 6.

Provisions of
the original act
shall be opera-
tive.

A supplement to an act entitled, "An act for the
valuation of the real and personal property in the
several counties of this state" passed at November
session eighteen hundred and twelve.

Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the register of the land office
for the Western Shore shall be entitled to receive thir-
ty dollars for every year, and that the register of the
land office for the Eastern Shore shall be entitled to
receive twenty dollars for every year, for their servi-
ces under the act to which this Is a supplement, and
that the same be paid annually by the treasurer of the
