Monday, in each and every year hereafter, or as soon
thereafter as conveniently may be; at which election,
each contributor, or person holding an interest in said
property, shall be entitled to a vote; and for the pur-
pose of ascertaining who are so entitled, the trustees
shall record, in a book for that purpose, the names of
all persons who have contributed to, or associated for
the purpose of purchasing the property aforesaid; and
which said right to vote, and interest in said property,
may be assigned or transferred, by a simple transfer
or assignment in writing, under the hand of the party,
attested by one witness or more.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustees
now appointed, and who may hereafter be elected, or
a majority of them, and their successors, from time to
time, as occasion may require, may and shall meet to-
gether to transact the business and superintend and
protect the property put under their trust and care, and
shall make, constitute and alter such rules and orders
for regulating their own proceedings, and the manage-
ment of the temporal concerns of the Meeting-House,

as they shall judge most fit: Provided, That such rules
and regulations be not repugnant to the constitution
and laws of this state.

Proviso.

CHAPTER 8.

An act to authorise William Francis Lewis, former
collected of Calvert county, to complete his collec-
tions.

Passed May 24,
1813.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assem-
bly. of Maryland, by the petition of William Fran-

cis Lewis, former collection of Calvert county, that

from various circumstances he has not been able to
complete his collection within the time limited:. There-
fore,

Preamble,

Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland. That the said William Francis

the first day of May, eighteen hundred fourteen, all
balances due him as collector of Calvert county, in
the same manner as he could or might have done with-
in the time limited by law, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said Wil-
liam Francis Lewis, before he derives any benefit from
or under this act, shall lodge a copy of his collection
books in the clerk's office of Calvert county, to be
