THE SECOND EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF 1962

Annapolis, Maryland, May 25, 1962.

STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT:

This being the day prescribed by the Proclamation of the Governor
of Maryland, f or the meeting of the General Assembly of Maryland, in
Extraordinary Session, at 10 o'clock A. M., the Journal Clerk of the
Senate proceeded to call the Roll, and the following Senators answered
to their names:

Twenty-six Senators having answered to their names, a quorum
being present, the Senate of Maryland 1962 Extraordinary Session, is
now ready for business. The first order of business will be the election
of a temporary presiding officer. Are you ready for the question?

The Hon. Harry R. Hughes nominated the Hon. William S. James as
temporary presiding officer, which nomination was seconded by the Hon.
H. Winship Wheatley, Jr.
