relli, Buffington, Dean, Dorf, Dorsey, Gonder, Hall, Hebron, Hughes,
James, Johnson, Jones, Mach, Malkus, Nock, North, Parran, Phipps,
Phoebus, Pine, Schweinhaut, See, Shipley, Snyder, Weant, and
Wheatley:

Senate Resolution expressing regrets on the passing of Joseph V.
Dyer.

We were shocked to learn recently of the untimely passing in the
prime of his life of Joseph V. Dyer.

Joe was a valuable member of the operation of the General
Assembly for these many years during which he served as legislative
representative of the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company.
His opinion and advice on legislation was freely sought and valued
by the members of the General Assembly.

As a person Joe was the friend of all of those who have worked
in the State House and his presence in these halls will be sorely
missed in future sessions; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That we express our regrets
on the passing of Joseph V. Dyer; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution is sent to Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph V. Dyer, Jr.

Which was read and adopted.

BILL RETURNED FROM THE HOUSE

Senate Bill No. 1—By the President:

Subject: MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE
PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND FOR THE SECOND EXTRA-ORDINARY SESSION OF
1962.

Endorsed, read the third time and passed by yeas and nays.
