1812.

An additional supplement to an act entitled, An
act for the opening and extending of Pratt
street, in the city of Baltimore.

Passed June 13,

1812.

SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the houses on the north side
of Pratt street, from Franklin lane to Cheapside, shall re-
main as they are; and from Gay street to Market-
space, Pratt street shall be opened on the north side to
a line with the north side of the street from Franklin
lane to Gay street, as the same is directed to be laid
out by the act to which this is a supplement; and the
houses shall be taken away to said line.

12. AND BE IT ENACTED, That .hereafter each
assessor shall be allowed for his services at the rate of
four dollars per day.

3. AND BEIT ENACTED, That the commission-
ers shall have power, and it shall be their duty to cause
to be taken down all 'houses and parts of houses direct-
ed to be taken down by the said act and the supple-
ments thereto.

14. AND BE IT ENACTED, That in all cases a
majority of the assessors and of the commissioners
shall decide any question arising before them respec-

tively.

15. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the block or

wharf, instead of being laid out as directed by said act,
shall be laid out as follows: The east side of the block
shall be bounded by a line at right angles to Pratt
street, proceeding from a point in the south side there-
for twenty feet east of the line of the west side of Cal-
vert street, from Baltimore street, to the warehouse
occupied by William Matthews and company, ex-
tended. The south side of the block shall be fifteen
feet or less, in the discretion of the commissioners,
South of the south line of Cam-den street extended,
the west side of the block shall be parallel to the east
side, and two hundred and twenty feet from it. Across
the south end of the block shall be a street extending
the width to a line parallel to Pratt street, proceeding
from the south west corner of Solomon Burket's ware-
house on the west side of Bowley's wharf. On the
east side and on the west side of the, block shall be a
street twenty feet wide; and in the middle of the
block shall be a street forty feet wide, parallel to them;
and lots shall be laid out on the block, as directed by
the act to which this is a supplement. And all the
