1966, Chapter 116—Riverdale

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, Lloyd L. Simpkins, Secretary of State of Maryland, pur-
suant to the direction contained in Section 172 of Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), Do Hereby Certify,
That at a Special Election held in the town of Riverdale, Prince
George's County, Maryland, on May 2,1966, an Act known as Chapter
116 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1966, was
submitted to voters of Riverdale, Maryland, for their adoption or
rejection under the provisions of Chapter 116 of the Acts of 1966, said
Act being as follows:

"An Act to repeal Section 38 (c) of Article 2-B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
said section being headed "Prince George's County," sub-
section (c) being headed "Riverdale," removing the restric-
tion against the selling at any place, or giving away at any
place of business any alcoholic beverages or intoxicating liquor
for consumption on the premises, except beer and wine, within
the corporate limits of the Town of Riverdale, subject to a
referendum in the Town of Riverdale, declaring this act to
be an emergency measure and severable."

and I DO certify, that at said election held in Riverdale, Prince
George's County, Maryland, 352 votes were cast in favor of the
adoption of Chapter 116 of the Acts of 1966 and 270 votes were cast
against the adoption thereof, and a majority of the votes being cast
in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 116 of the Acts of 1966, the
said Act has been ratified by the voters of Riverdale, Prince George's
County, Maryland.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official Seal at the City of Annapolis,
this 22nd day of June, 1966.
