Ex.d   This Indenture Quadripartite made the seventh
       Day of April in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven
       hundred and forty four Between Witham Marshe of
       Annapolis Gent of the first Part Charles Carroll of Annapolis
       af.d Esquire of the second Part Thomas Slade of
       Baltimore County Planter of the third Part and Josias
       Slade of Baltimore County Planter of the fourth Part
       Witnesseth that the said Thomas Slade for the Docking
       Barring and Cutting off of all Estates Tail and remainders
       in Tail of and in the land and Premisses herein after mentioned
       and for the settling ^and assuring^ the same to and for the uses Intents and Purposes
       herein after limitted Expressed and Declared and in Consideration
       of five Shillings Current money of Maryland to him in
