       Somerset County fs.t Know all Men by these Presents
L S That we John Dennis Littleton Dennis and Isaac Mitchell of
Duty paid              the County aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto his Lordship
Th Hayward Cl     the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland
       in the full and just sum of four hundred pounds Current money
       of the Province aforesaid To be paid unto his said Lordship his heirs
       and Successors   To the which Payment well and truly to be made
       and done We bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs
       Exec.rs and Admin.rs joyntly and severally for and in the
       whole firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and
       dated this 10.th day of November 1758

                                  The Condition of the above Obligation is
       such that if the above bound John Dennis whilst he shall be
       and continue in the Office of Collector of Excise in Somerset
       County shall well and faithfully exercise and perform the
       several Duties required of him to be performed by the Act of
       Assembly entituled   An Act for granting a Supply of Forty
       Thousand Pounds for his Majesties Service and striking Thirty
       four thousand and fifteen pounds six Shillings thereof in Bills
       of Credit and raising a Fund for sinking the Same and do well
       and faithfully pay to the Commissioners of the Loan Office
