TITLES AND MESSAGES
Governor of Maryland
1974 Regular Session
General Assembly of Maryland
Seventy bills were vetoed by the Governor during and
after the 1974 Regular Session of the General Assembly.
Twenty—two of these bills originated in the Senate, and
48 of the bills originated in the House of Delegates.
One of the bills, House Bill 730, was vetoed during the
session on March 5, 1974. The veto was not overridden by
the General Assembly. The other bills were vetoed after
the session. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 17 of
Article II of the Constitution of Maryland, these bills
will not be returned to the General Assembly for a vote
on overriding the vetoes unless there is a special
session prior to the time a new General Assembly is
elected and sworn.
