       year of the Reigne of our sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of
       God of Great Brittain France & Ireland Queen Defender of
       the faith &c Annoque Domini 1707 Between Thomas
       Gray Late of the province of Maryland in parts beyond
       the seas but now of London Merch.t of the one part
       and John Gooding of the Citty of London Merch.t of the
       other part  Wittnesseth that the said for and in Consid.n
       of the ^full^ sume of four hundred pounds of good and Lawfull
       money of Great Brittain in hand well & trully paid
       unto the said Thomas Gray by the said John Gooding at &
       before the sealeing and Delivery of these presents the rec.t
       and paym.t whereof accordingly the said Thomas Gray
       doth hereby acknowledge and of and from the same
