MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            4031 26. I will however perform the Constitutional duty of
vetoing those bills which I feel should not be signed.
The Veto Messages with respect to those bills have
already been prepared and reviewed by me. In accordance with Article II, Section 6(b) of the
Constitution of Maryland, I hereby notify you that I will
be unable, because of my illness, to perform the
particular duty of my office of signing bills on the
attached list on Thursday, May 26, 1977; and you shall
therefore serve as Acting Governor for that purpose
between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on that day. Sincerely,
