shall condemn the structure and shall order that such

changes be made as will be sufficient for compliance with
this provision.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Allegany High School — Public School Construction Loan

FOR the purpose of expressly providing in the State Public
School Construction and Capital Improvement Loan of
1977, which is contained in Chapter 677 of the Acts of
1977, that no proceeds of the $69,000,000 aggregate
principal amount of bonds may be authorized to be sold
or be expended for the renovation of Allegany High
School in Cumberland until a feasibility study on
building a new school using the construction management
approach is completed and considered by the Allegany
County Board of Education and the Interagency
Committee.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and
incur indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland
through a State loan to be known as the State Public School
Construction and Capital Improvement Loan of 1977 in the
aggregate principal amount of $69,000,000. This loan shall
be evidenced by the issuance and sale of State general
obligation bonds authorized by a resolution of the Board of
Public Works and issued, sold and delivered in accordance
with the provisions of §§ 19 to 23 of Article 31 of the
