it shall be heard and determined as in the case of original
applications, except in Baltimore City it shall be heard and
determined not as in the case of original application in
regard to zoning but only on a specific complaint as to the
operation of the licensee's establishments.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Code Violations

FOR the purpose of permitting the District Court to issue
injunctions for enforcement of electrical and plumbing
code violations; and making technical corrections.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
4-401.

Except as provided in § 4-402 OF THIS SUBTITLE, and
subject to the venue provisions of Title 6 OF THIS ARTICLE,
the District Court has exclusive original civil jurisdiction
in:

(7) A petition of injunction filed by a county
or municipality including Baltimore City for the enforcement
of its health, housing, fire, building, ELECTRIC, PLUMBING,
and zoning codes.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
