EXECUTIVE ORDERS

WHEREAS, The Maryland Civil Defense and Disaster
Preparedness Act, Article 16A, Section 6, calls for the
Governor to make, amend and rescind the necessary
orders, rules and regulations to carry out the
provisions of the Act and to prepare a comprehensive
plan and program for the civil defense and disaster
operations of this State; and

WHEREAS, The Maryland Civil Defense and Disaster
Preparedness Agency has coordinated the preparation of
the Maryland Radiological Emergency Plan and its
Appendix 1 for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant;
and

WHEREAS, All Departments and agencies of the State which
have emergency responsibilities in this Plan have
reviewed and concurred in their responsibilities set
forth in this Plan;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF MARYLAND, BY
VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY ARTICLE 16A,
SECTION 6 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, AND IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 41, SECTION 15CA OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, HEREBY PROMULGATE THE
FOLLOWING ORDER EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:

1.   The Maryland Radiological Emergency
Plan (Annex Q) and its Appendix Q-1 are
approved.

2.   The normal budgetary process and
procedures shall be utilized to fund the
State's obligations under the Plan.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT - AMENDMENT

WHEREAS, On March 20, 1980, I issued Executive Order
01.01.1980.07, which created a Task Force on Youth
Employment and which set forth extensive
responsibilities for that task force; and

WHEREAS, Section 5 of that Order set December 1, 1980 for
submission of the Task Force's final report and for the
termination of the Task Force; and
