MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

the City Charter, for the purpose of abolishing the Board of
Recreation and Parks for the City of Annapolis and repealing
the requirements of said Board to supply an estimate of
revenue to the city treasurer and to submit a budget to the
Mayor and Aldermen as set forth in Section 77 of the City
Charter; for the further purpose of transferring certain
duties of the Board of Recreation and Parks, as set forth in
Section 76 of the City Charter, to the Superintendent of
Recreation and Parks; increasing the amount of the bond to
be provided by the Superintendent of Recreation and Parks to
the City from $5,000.00 to $25,000.00; re-enacting all other
provisions of Section 76 of the Charter; and all matters
relating generally thereto.

[Sections 75 and 77 of the Charter of the City of
Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, repealed and Section 76 of
the Charter of the City of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County
repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date June 30, 1981]

OF THE
MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT
SECTIONS 22 AND 23 OF THE CITY CHARTER

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E
of the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and Supplements), title "Corporations-Municipal", to repeal
and re-enact Sections 22 and 23 of the Charter of the City
of Annapolis, for the purpose of providing that the
appointment of a fire chief shall be made from a list of
eligible applicants submitted to the Mayor and Aldermen by
the personnel administrator in lieu of the fire committee;
to further provide that appeals from decisions dismissing
members of the fire department shall be heard by the civil
service board in lieu of the fire committee; re-enacting all
other provisions of Sections 22 and 23 of the Charter; and
all matters relating generally thereto.

[Sections 22 and 23 of the Charter of the City of
Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, repealed and reenacted, with

amendments.

Effective Date June 30, 1981]
