STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws does hereby certify that at the General Election
held in the State of Maryland on November 2, 1982 an Act known as
Chapter 739 of the Acts of 1982 was submitted to the voters of
the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning Baltimore City - Debts and Extensions of
Credit. For the purpose of providing a certain exception to the
requirement that certain debts created by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, certain credit extended by the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, and certain other acts of the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore that involve the faith and credit
of Baltimore City be authorized by Acts of the General Assembly;
providing for debt limitation; clarifying language; and
submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the State of
Maryland for their adoption or rejection.
And it is hereby certified that at said election, 351,258
votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 739 and 220,277
votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 739 the said
Chapter 739 of the Acts of 1982 has therefore been ratified.
