Section 2

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

9-1204.

(d) (1) (i) The Special Counsel may issue a subpoena to a
person to require the appearance of the person or the production
of telephone, business, governmental, PERSONAL, or corporate
records or documents.

(H) (1) THE SPECIAL COUNSEL MAY SHARE RECORDS OR TESTIMONY
DEVELOPED IN THE INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED UNDER THIS SECTION WITH
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, AND
COURT APPOINTED COUNSEL FOR SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS IN
CONSERVATORSHIP UNDER TITLE 9 OF THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
ARTICLE OR IN RECEIVERSHIP UNDER TITLE 9 OF THE FINANCIAL
INSTITUTIONS ARTICLE.

(2) THE SHARING OF RECORDS UNDER THIS SUBSECTION
SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF ANY PRIVILEGE OR RIGHT THAT THE
SPECIAL COUNSEL MAY HAVE UNDER LAW.

Chapter 11 of the Acts of the First Special Session of 1985

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1985 and remain effective until [March 1,
1986] MAY 1, 1986, FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING CONFIDENTIAL
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE GOVERNOR CONCERNING CIVIL OR CRIMINAL
ACTIONS, and on that date, with no further action required by the
General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further
force and effect.
