Ch. 2

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That in the event
that any of the persons designated to sign the bonds are unable
for any reason to do so the County Commissioners by resolution
shall authorize their execution by some other member or officer,
and the execution shall be valid and sufficient for all purposes
as if the bonds had been executed by the person or persons
originally designated in this Act. Should any person signing the
bonds die or become incapacitated, or should the person cease to
be an officer or a commissioner, before the delivery of the
bonds, the signature nevertheless shall be valid and sufficient
for all purposes and equally shall be effective to bind the
County Commissioners of Somerset County as if delivery had been
made before the death, incapacity, or expiration, or other
termination of the term of office.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, it shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Police Commissioner

FOR the purpose of repealing the prohibition on the eligibility
of the Baltimore City Police Commissioner for elective or
appointive office within a certain period; and making this
Act an emergency measure.

BY repealing

The Public Local Laws of Baltimore City
Section 16-5(g)

Article 5 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1979 Edition and 1983 Supplement, as amended
by Chapter 345 of the Acts of 1986)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
