CERTIFICATIONS

FOR the purpose of providing that the parties to any civil proceeding in which the right
to a jury trial is preserved are entitled to a trial by jury of at least 6 jurors; providing
that the Constitution of Maryland does not prohibit a trial by jury of less than 12
jurors in a civil proceeding in which the right to a jury trial is preserved; and
submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their
adoption or rejection.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 1,109,722 votes were cast for the
adoption of said Chapter 204 and 308,841 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 204, the said Chapter 204 of the Acts of 1992 has therefore been ratified.

Laws of the State of Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 1st day of December,

STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify that at
the General Election held in the State of Maryland on November 3, 1992, an Act known
as Chapter 205 of the Acts of 1992 was submitted to the voters of the State of Maryland
under the provisions of Article XVI of the Constitution of the State of Maryland, said Act
being as follows:

AN ACT concerning

Jury Trials - Civil Proceedings

FOR the purpose of providing that the right to a jury trial in civil proceedings preserved
by Article 23 of the Declaration of Rights applies when the amount in controversy
exceeds $5,000; and submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the State
of Maryland for their adoption or rejection.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 1,020,837 votes were cast for the
adoption of said Chapter 205 and 398, 605 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 205, the said Chapter 205 of the Acts of 1992 has therefore been ratified.
