^Administrators & Assigns,^ against the said Jerome Richardson, my Executors, Administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever, shall & will
warrant and forever defend by these presents: of all & singular which
said goods, Household stuff, Negro Woman & furniture, Horse & Cariage,
and other the premises, I, the said Jerome Richardson, have put the
said Hiram W. Woolford in full possession, by delivering to him the
said Hiram W. Woolford one Negro Woman by the name of Mariah,
one Horse, one four wheel Cariage, two Beds & Bedsteads, one Mahogany
Table, and one Mahogany Beaureau, at the sealing & delivering
of these presents, in the name of the whole premises fairly bargained
and sold, or mentioned and intended to be sold unto him the said Hiram
W. Woolford aforesaid.  As Witness my hand and seal this Eleventh
day of June Eighteen hundred and fifty one.
In the presence of
Whitefield Woolford                                 Jerome Richardson   (Seal)

                               State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:
On this Eleventh day of June Eighteen hundred and fifty one, before me
the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace, in and for said County and State,
personally appeared Jerome Richardson and Acknowledged his hand & seal
this instrument of writing to be his Act and deed, the property herein
described to be the right of Hiram W. Woolford.  Also personally appeared
Hiram W. Woolford and makes Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
God that the consideration set forth in the within Bill of Sale is
true and bonified as therein set forth, to the best of his knowledge
and belief.         Sworn before            Whitefield Woolford


State of Maryland               Be it remembered that the following Bond was
     from   70   Ex.d             recorded on the 18.th day of June 1851, To wit:
John Richardson, Coll.r      {Stamp}   Know all men by these presents that we
and others.                        {Six dol.}  John Richardson, John Tubman,
                                          Samuel R. Dunnock, John H. Hodson, Samuel
Harrington, James E. Hall, Joseph Bradshaw and James Woolford,
of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, are held & firmly bound
unto the State of Maryland, in the full and just sum of Forty three thousand
one hundred and forty two dollars and fifty eight and a half cents,
current money of the United States, to be paid to the said State or its
certain Attorney, to the which payment well and truly to be made & done,
we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our heirs, Executors
and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals and dated this Eighteenth day of June in the
year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
bounden John Richardson, appointed Collector of Dorchester County, shall
