STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify that at
the Election held in the City of Takoma Park on November 7, 1995, an Act known as
Chapter 636 of the Acts of 1994 (House Bill 1090) was submitted to the Montgomery
County and Prince George's County voters in the City of Takoma Park in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 636 of the Acts of 1994, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County and Prince George's County - City of Takoma Park

FOR the purpose of providing for the alteration of the boundary line between
Montgomery County and Prince George's County to provide that the City of
Takoma Park be entirely in Montgomery County or Prince George's County under
certain conditions; providing that this Act is subject to a referendum of certain
voters and providing for the referendum; requiring the City of Takoma Park and the
Board of Supervisors of Elections of both Montgomery County and Prince George's
County to take certain actions; requiring the City of Takoma Park to bear certain
costs; providing for the rights and privileges of certain inhabitants of the City of
Takoma Park under certain conditions; providing for the effect of this Act on
certain conveyances, wills, mortgages, contracts, and other documents, on buildings,
zoning classifications, certain licenses, county-owned property, right to enrollment
in a certain county school system, and voter registration; requiring certain officials
or their designees to address certain payment for students who elect to remain in
the Prince George's County school system if the entire City of Takoma Park
becomes part of Montgomery County; requiring the total amount paid to the Board
of Education of Prince George's County to be calculated in a certain manner;
providing for the implementation of this Act; providing for the effective date of any
boundary alteration under this Act; prohibiting a portion of Montgomery County or
Prince George's County from being annexed in a certain manner; and generally
relating to an alteration of the boundary line between Montgomery County and
Prince George's County.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 116 votes were cast for the adoption
of said Chapter 636 and 1,254 votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 636 by
the Montgomery County voters of the City of Takoma Park.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 1,128 votes were cast for the adoption
of said Chapter 636 and 156 votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 636 by
the Prince George's County voters of the City of Takoma Park.

GIVEN Under My Hand and the Seal of the State Administrative Board of Election
Laws, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 17th day of July, In the Year of Our Lord, One
Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-six.
