And it is hereby certified that at said election, 3,521 votes were cast for the
adoption of said Chapter 470 in Election Districts 1 through 10, Election Districts 12
through 14 and Election District 16 and 5,757 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 470 in Election Districts 1 through 10, Election Districts 12 through 14
and Election District 16, the said Chapter 470 of the Acts of 1996 has therefore failed
ratification in Election Districts 1 through 10, Election Districts 12 through 14 and
Election District 16.

Election Laws, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 3rd day of December, In the Year of
Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-six.

STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the 12th Election District of Montgomery County
on November 5, 1996, an Act known as Chapter 474 of the Acts of 1996 (House Bill
664, Question F) was submitted to the voters of the 12th Election District of
Montgomery County in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 474 of the Acts of
1996, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Damascus)
MC 618-96

FOR the purpose of repealing the prohibition in Montgomery County on the issuance
of Class H beer and light wine licenses in Damascus (Twelfth Election District);
and submitting this Act to a referendum of the voters of that election district.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 3,312 votes were cast for the
adoption of said Chapter 474 and 3,988 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 474, the said Chapter 474 of the Acts of 1996 has therefore failed ratification.

GIVEN Under My Hand and the Seal of the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 3rd day of December, In the Year of
Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-six.
