Bill No. 891, AS AMENDED 2002 Legislative Session

A BILL TO AMEND CHAPTER 190, ZONING OF THE TALBOT COUNTY CODE
ARTICLE XIII, § 190-97E.(1), TO CREATE AN ADMINISTRATIVE VARIANCE
PROCEDURE TO ALLOW UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS ADDITIONS TO
EXISTING NONCONFORMING STRUCTURES IN THE SHORELINE
DEVELOPMENT BUFFER.

WICOMICO COUNTY

Bill No. 2002-3

AN ACT to amend Chapter 138 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Electrical
Standards," amending Section 138-15 titled "Fees and Bonds" to allow for bi-annual
renewal instead of annual renewal and to adjust fees accordingly; to amend Section
138-18, titled "Expiration and Renewal of Certificates" to increase the renewal period
to a bi-annual basis and to require the certification often (10) continuing education
credits prior to issuance of a renewal certification; and to amend Section 138-19,
titled "Violations and Penalties" to increase the possible fine to a minimum of five
hundred dollars ($500.00) with a maximum fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

Bill No. 2002-4

AN ACT to amend Chapter 135 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Drugs,"
amending the title of the Chapter and adding Article III, entitled "Tobacco Products"
limiting the storage and placement of tobacco products offered for sale in Wicomico
County, requiring that tobacco products be accessible to the buyer only through the
intervention of the retail seller or seller's employee, and exempting retail tobacco
stores and the sale of tobacco products through vending machines that comply with
all requirements of state law; establishing enforcement and penalties.

[Sections 135-9 — 135-12 of the Wicomico County Code - added.]

AN ACT to provide for a revised Charter of Wicomico County, Maryland in
accordance with the recommendations of the Charter Review Committee and the
County Council amending Section 201, titled "Composition and Districts," Section
202, titled "Qualifications," Section 204, titled "Compensation," and Section 205,
titled "Vacancies," of Article II, titled "County Council;" Section 303, titled "Action by
Council," Section 3.07, titled "Legislative Sessions for the Enactment of Legislation,"
Section 308, titled "Legislative Procedure," Section 309, titled "The Referendum on
Bond Issues and Other Local Laws," and Section 310, titled "Limitation of bond
issues" of Article III, titled "The Legislative Branch;" Section 406, titled "The
Administrative Director" of Article IV, titled "The Executive Branch;" Section 502,
titled "General Provisions," Section 503, titled "Department of Finance," and Section
504, titled "Department of Public Works" of Article V, titled "The Departments of
County Government;" Section 601, titled "County Personnel Board," Section 607,
