31 State of Maryland Ann Arundel county Sc.t I hereby certify that it appears by the oath of Jonathan Waters that a negro man called Tom was manumitted by Nathan Waters his freedom to commence on the 25.th of Dece.r 1797 Tom is about forty two or three years old five feet seven & a half inches high and of a dark complexion has a scar on the left thumb is a free man the said negro Tom was raised in the county afs.d Issued the 20 June 1809 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named James aged about twenty two years height five feet seven inches has a mould on his throat Complexion black is a free man and that the said James was raised in Ann Arundel County State of maryland Issued the 24th day of June 1809 Maryland anne arundel county to wit I hereby certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a man called Edward Booth sixty four years old five feet ten inches high dark brown complexion is a free man & raised in the afs.d county Issued the 12 Sep 1809 |
