    At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit
       Maryland anne arundel County sct.  Be it
remembered That on this twenty fifth day of
July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and sixteen personally appeared William
Sanders Green before me the subscriber one of the
Justices of the peace of The State of maryland in
and for anne arundel County aforesaid and
acknowledged the within instrument of writing
to be his act and deed   Acknowledged before

                   To all whom it may concern  Be it
known that I John C Mackubin of ann arundel
County in the State of maryland for divers good
causes and considerations me thereunto moving as
also in further consideration of four hundred dollars
Current money to me in hand paid have released
from slavery liberated manumitted and set free
and by these presents do hereby release from
slavery liberated manumit and set free my Negro
man named Ned Galloway I do declare
to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged
from all manner of servitude or service to me
my Executors administrators for ever   In Testimony
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this Eleventh day of September in the
