138 Ordered that Majr George Dashiell and John Christopher be Oversers of the roads from Thomas Gilllis's to John Disharoons and from the said Dashiells ^in^to the afd road and from Mr John Handys Ferry to John Christophers &a Ordered that Charles Ballard be overseer of the Roads from Austons bridge to the Lower Ferry over wickacomoco River and white Haven town and from the said Ferry to Majr Ballards Island and from thence through the middle of the neck into the main Road and to keep the witch bridge in good repair &a Ordered that John Ricketts be Overseer of the Roads from Mr Handys Ferry on the north side of wickacomoco River to the main road by Thomas Humphry'ss and from there to black water bridge &a Ordered that Joseph Cottman be Overseer of the Roads from M.rs Ellis's Gate to the head of Wickacomoco Creek and from Coll Gales house to the plantation of John Leatherbury on said Creek and Likewise the road by Joy Hobbs and from the bridge by Thomas Holbrooks into the main road that Leads from White Haven Town to the witch bridge &a Ordered that John Disharoon be Overseer of the road from the Long bridge to Thomas Breretons plantation &a Ordered that Robert Jones be Overseer of the roads from Joseph Polks into from the head of Little manny and from Cap.t Jones to the new Church and from ^the^ head of Little Manny to William Jones on Goose Creek and from Little Creek to the head of Phebuses Creek and from ^Mr^ Stoughtons to the south End of John Shores plantation &a Ordered that WIlliam Jones Manny be Overseer of the Roads from Austins bridge to the Eastermost End of the new Bridge ^by^ Henry Ballards plantation at the head of manocan and from the head of Great Manny to the head of Little manny and from Phillip Covingtons to Joy Hobbs &a Ordered that Thomas Laws be Overseer of the roads from his thorow fair to Joseph Polks and from Richard Wallis's into the main Road &a Ordered that William Jones of Goos Creek be overseer of the Road from the head of the branch that Leads to Mr Rigsbys to the Bridge by Mr Ballards plantation at the head of manocan and from the head of Goose Creek to the new Church and from the New Church into the main Road that Leads to ^from^ the head of Saint Peters Creek to the afd new Bridge and to Clear a road to the north side of John Shores plantation &a Ordered that Nicholas Fountain be overseer of the Roads from the mouth of manocan River to the head of Back Creek and from Back Creek wading place up to a tree Called Girdle tree standing about three quarters of a mile from Stevenses branch and from Back Creek wading place to a tree dividing between him and Coll King &a Ordered that William Jones of Manocan be Overseer of the Roads from Kings Mill to the Westermost End of the Bridge by Mr Ballards plantation at the head of Manocan and from Manocan ^bridge^ to Gillis's Mill Ordered that George Benston be overseer of the roads halfe ^way^ of ^the bridge in^ Plunketts Branch Bridge into the main road that Leads from Kings Mill to the head of Manocan bridge &a Ordered that Thos Williams be overseer of the roads from Cap.t Horseys to Annamessex Dams from thence to Murrumsco Dams and from thence to his Usuall Division between him and John Gunby &a and from William Dixons barrs to the head of Jones Creek Ordered that John Fleming be Overseer of the roads from Mr John Scotts Landing on Pocomoke to the beaver Dams by Stephen Costons plantation at the head of Dividing Creek &a Ordered that Francis Porter be Overseer of the roads from Dividing Creek bridge a Long the (road |
