                     November Court                          1740                               33

Term the said apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly
every willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master
and all his during the term aforesaid &a

                               In Consideration of which service the said Samuel Hudson present herein Court in his proper person
Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form following that is to say that
he the said Samuel Hudson during the term aforesaid shall and will Learn his said apprentice the Trade of a light Cooper
and ^give him^ One whole Years schooling and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his
Common wearing Cloaths and a set of Coopers Tooles and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing
Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &a

    Whereupon the said Samuel Hudson is Ordered by the Court here to give security for to Comply with the Covenants
afd      Thereupon the said Samuel Hudson together with Alexander Linck and Thomas Coffin of Somerset County
planters his securitys all present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said John
Napman in twenty pounds Currant money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenaments Severally to be
made and Levied to the Use of the said John Napman his heirs and assignes  If it happen that the said Samuel Hudson doe not
during the term aforesaid Learn his said apprentice the Trade of a light Cooper and doe not give him One whole Years schooling
and at the Expiration of his servitude doe not give him a new suit of Cloaths Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and a set
of Coopers Tooles and doe not provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for such
an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &a

William Taylor an Orphan is bound Out by the Court here of his Own assent an apprentice according
to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided unto William Smith of Annamessex in Somerset County
Cooper untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years he being Sixteen Years of Age the tenth day of
November Instant the said apprentice to Swerve his said Master the full term aforesaid during which term the said
Apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every
where willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said
master and all his during the term aforesaid &a

                      In Consideration of which Service the said William Smith present herein Court in his proper person
Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following that is to say
that the the said William Smith during the term afd shall and will Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a Tight Cooper
and give him One whole Years schooling and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths over and
above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing
sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &c

          Whereupon the said William Smith is Ordered to give Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid
thereupon the said William Smith together ^with^ Michael Holland Jun.r of Somerset County planter his security both present here
