Read the Petition of several the Inhabitants of Cecil County
praying Leave to bring in a Bill to lay out thirty Acres of Land for
a Town on a Point of Land in the said County known by the name of
Peningtons Point; read the Petition of the Rector Vestrymen
Churchwardens and others the Parishioners of Durham Parish in
Charles County praying Leave to bring in a Bill to levy twenty

thousand pounds of Tobacco upon the taxable Inhabitants of the
said Parish towards finishing the Church therein already begun to
be built, & severally referred to the Consideration of the Lower
house of Assembly and sent by George Plater Esq^r

Gentlemen
This house hath appointed Benjamin Tasker Esq^r to join the
Members named by your house in your Message of this Day by Col
Gale and M^r Trippe to inspect the Accounts & Proceedings of the
Comm^rs of the Paper Currency

By the Upper House of Assembly 24 March 1735
Gentlemen
Having read and considered your Message of the 22^d Instant by
M^r Dulany and Others relating to the Importation of Lisbon Salt
into this Province, this House concurs with Yours in Opinion that
such a Liberty of importing Salt would be of great Advantage to the
Inhabitants and Trade of this Province, and will readily join with
your House in a suitable Address to his Lordship for that Purpose
